REACT NIA Phase
The REACT NIA study tackles the complexity of transmission network connections by addressing fragmented data, limited visibility, and constrained capacity insights. Developed by Olsights, REACT is a real-time, scenario-driven platform that enables smarter grid planning by assessing project delivery likelihood and system-wide impacts—supporting faster, more informed decisions.
Carbon Capture & Transport
Olsights (then known as Olwg) was commissioned by The Crown Estate to help them answer “where is all the CO2 going to come from (for offshore storage)?”, and to help understand the uncertainties surrounding future demand through visual examination of different industrial transition scenarios.
The Crown Estate was looking for ways to accelerate the important fundamental discussions within their organisation, and externally with governmental and development stakeholders.

Olsights collaborated with SSEN Transmission Olsights, MapStand, Icebreaker One, National Grid Electricity Transmission, and SGN on project REACT
The Rapid Evaluation Areal Connection Tool project aimed to create a geographical planning tool, bringing together information on network availability using an interactive web-based visualisation map.
Olsights have provided a very effective and responsive service in developing HyCymru s one stop shop service on hydrogen in Wales. They deliver clarity and simplicity on complicated energy topics through easy to understand data visualisation, drawing on their deep knowledge and experience in the energy industry.
